World of Warcraft Classic-How to find or avoid streamers playing WOW Classic
4With Blizzard releasing WOW Classic fairly soon, the hype train has been building some momentum. People have begun popping up out of the woodwork stating whether or not they'd be playing Classic and if they'd be streaming it. It seems Icy veins has taken it upon themselves to put together a list of streamers and where they might be so you can avoid playing on their realms.
While I believe this does do a community service, I don't think avoiding a streamer's realm is worth a shit. Aside from perhaps the juvenile and toxic Asmon fans, you'd wind up cutting your nose off to spite your face if you tried to avoid all streamers. To be fair, any streamer who seeks to treat classic with respect, raid, push progression and even seek out legendary quests like Thunderfury, Rhok and Lok, Benediction, etc...this is all just good for the game. My stance is Classic might be a nice place to visit but I don't want to live there. I doubt I'd even make a toon. I have a supreme litany of things I'd like to see like all the old dungeons, the old landscape, the outdoor bosses, the nightmare dragons, some infamous tames for hunters...I could spend a day telling you. But I also don't want to walk until 40, pay out my ass for mounts and epic mounts, sit in Molten Core more than once, have to get a huge group to do Jintha Alor, kill 400 raptors for one gizzard, etc etc. Part of the mystique about vanilla can never be replaced. The first time you walk into your big capital, the first time you hit a new zone with a music change and VERY different landscape. Cringing at the level 50 spider just on the otherside of the bulwark from your level 9 undead ass. Stephen King once said "Sometimes they come back" but Thomas Wolfe also said "You can't go home again." That's how I feel about Classic. Tempting but it will be a slog. My hunter took 23 days of game time to hit 60 but my final vanilla toon took only 13 (a warlock). How do you feel about classic?
