In this book review I'd like to recommend you something that will immerse you into the making of DOOM, Quake, Daikatana and many other id software games everyone remembers up to these days. It took David Kushner 6 years to write it and conduct id software interview, and trust me, the result is worth all the effort!
I consider this read to be one of the best in the categories "books based on video games" and "game design books". It received a "great on Kindle" label, which is quite rare even on its own, but when you notice that on one of the video game books, you can be certain that it's one of the best books for game design!
