My first EPIC FAIL in Game Development 😅 (Don't Trust Whales)

Have you ever heard about the "Dunning-Kruger effect"? Well, in my case, 6 years ago, when I was just dipping my toes in game development, I felt that I was making some top-notch games. Spoiler: I wasn't. Spoiler #2: I am still not.
Nonetheless, I wanted to get my games to Steam through any means possible. I paid the fee to upload my creations to Steam Greenlight and wholeheartedly believed that these half-baked projects were worthy of being on that platform.
Luckily, Jim Sterling and other people who commented on the Greenlight page helped me realize that I still had a lot to learn before attempting something like that! 😄
I'm glad they made these timely remarks, because they helped me focus on self-improvement. In a sense, their rejection made me want to prove them wrong. To prove, that I am "worthy".
Thanks to these people I'm now a happy indie game developer who has already released 5 commercial games on Steam and doesn't plan to stop.😋
