About Game: Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne is 2003 third-person shooter video game developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Rockstar Games for Windows-based PCs, Xbox and PlayStation 2. It is a direct sequel to 2001's Max Payne. Upon release, the game was met with generally positive reception as critics praised its story and improved gameplay mechanics with some even considering this game and its predecessor to be amongst the best video games ever created as this game has won several awards, including 2004 edition of Golden Satellite Awards and multiple awards from high-profile gaming publications such as IGN, GameSpot and Game Informer. However, despite this positive reception, Max Payne 2 sold poorly in comparison to the first game and was criticised for its short story campaign. In 2012, Max Payne 3, a sequel to this game was released by Rockstar Games and in April 2022, it was announced that Rockstar Games and Remedy Entertainment will collaborate to remake both Max Payne and Max Payne 2 for ninth-generation consoles and modern PCs.
Story of the game is set two years after events of Max Payne and follows the titular protagonist who, having been cleared of false charges for murder of his partner due to the influence of Inner Circle, has left DEA and returned to NYPD where he works as a detective. However, Max has found himself in trouble again after apparently murdering his partner, Detective Valerie Winterson, to protect inexplicably alive Mona Sax with two now hiding within an undisclosed manor surrounded by NYPD...
