0After being caught with Mona Sax, Max is brought back to the precinct and debriefed by Bravura who, worried for Max, suspends him from field duty and has him stay in the precinct in order to write a report about the shootout in Annie Finn's warehouse while Mona is processed into precinct's jail due to being suspected murderer of Sebastian Gate. As he sits down to start working on his report, a phone at Winterson's desk rings with Max heading over to answer it as Winterson is interrogating one of the witnesses. However, as he answers the phone, caller on the other end hangs up. Situation gets even stranger as Max later catches Winterson speaking to someone over the phone and confronts her, realizing that she is leaking information and is working to stall the investigation into Cleaners with Winterson warning him to "stay away for his own good". Afterwards, Max descends into the precinct's holding cells where Mona is being held and is told by her that Cleaners will try to kill her while in custody. Her fears come true soon afterwards as a group of Cleaners attacks the precinct with Mona slipping away in confusion while Max arms himself and heads after her. As he exits the precinct through its parking garage, Max is intercepted by Vladimir Lem who agrees to take him back to Mona's hideout after being asked to...
