Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne Walkthrough Part 2: Elevator Doors
0A night before ending up surrounded by NYPD, Max answered a disturbance call at the warehouse for which he knows to be owned by Vladimir Lem, a Russian mobster and his old ally who assisted him in his one-man war against Punchinello Crime Family two years prior. As he gets there, he hears additional gunshots and a female scream. Deciding to head in before his backup arrives, Max finds out that the warehouse houses a gunsmithing workshop owned by Russian mob associate named Annie Finn and that it was attacked by Italian mobsters who have been eliminated. As he continues his investigation, Max finds out that the warehouse is full of mysterious assassins who are masquerading as employees of Squeaky Cleaning Company and who have killed off attacking Italians in order to raid the warehouse themselves, having stolen almost all weapons they could get their hands on and taken Annie Finn hostage. As he fails to prevent them from executing Annie, Max decides to hunt the escaping assassins down, running into Mona Sax, hired killer who apparently died two years prior while helping Max break into Aesir Corporation building. However, before Max is able to stop her, she escapes into the nearby elevator and disappears. Taking the elevator as well, Max heads back to the warehouse enterance where he tries to stop the assassins' van from escaping with the stolen weapons but fails. Later at the precinct, Max is chastitized for his sloppy field performance by Jim Bravura and is ordered to officially investigate the incident at the warehouse, assassins masquerading as cleaners and their possible connections to Russian organized crime, a job made significantly harder by the fact that the search of police database for either Squeaky Cleaning Company or "Kaufman", mysterious individual mentioned by the assassins, failed to turn up any results while his partner, Valerie Winterson, is assigned with investigating death of the US senator named Sebastian Gate...
