Get it? Because this stage takes place on the Moon? And the Moon is obviously covered in ice, right...? Yeah, I got nothing in terms of explaining the stupid choices for this stage's mechanics and layout. Then again, that's nothing compared to one aspect of all this...

I'm willing to bet that Flash Man struck some kind of deal with Quick Man to trade stage gimmicks. Yes, the lasers are in this stage now - along with some shameless copy-pasting of Quick Man's original stage. Interestingly enough, the lasers themselves aren't too much of an issue...that is until you realize the slippery floor can easily mess you over and cause you to collide with them.

It gets worse, however. There's one more aspect related to this stage (specifically with the lasers and a certain checkpoint) that proves to me that Sloth obviously doesn't know how to properly create a ROM hack (you'll see it via the annotations). If MacDaddy Mike ever saw this back when he was dissecting Rainbow Man's stage, I think he'd probably lose his mind.

In any case, this still isn't the worst stage in the game (nor is it even close to being the worst thing Sloth has done in a ROM hack, if you can believe that). I think I need to get back to my Portrait of Ruin playthrough for a bit before coming back to this...thing.
