And now it's time for our traditional boss rush stage, only there's 9 capsules here instead of 8. That 9th one is actually Yoku Man, who shows up here even if you didn't fight him in his stage. Another twist is that the capsules don't lead straight to the boss fights. Instead, there's a short section that incorporates some of the Robot Master's original level tropes into it that leads to the fight. After beating them all, we make our way down and find Bass, who seems to be spouting about how robots are superior, something King was spouting back in Mega Man & Bass. After the fight, Bass seems to come to his senses, as he was under the influence of the virus. But then Wily shows up and attacks him as punishment for what he tried to do. Turns out Wily did develop the virus that's infecting everything, and once he's done here he plans on working on making it stronger since Mega Man isn't affected by it. But after the battle, Wily escapes and the floor collapses, leading us to an underground section of the castle. __
