Mega Man X8 (Layer/Zero): No damage taken, where I'm playing through the game on Hard Mode. It's a NG+ file, so of course, I'll have all of the weapons. This is not a minimalist run, so I'm using everything at my disposal, but still remaining fair for the No Damage challenge. This is the Legacy Collection version, so all game-breaking glitches are no longer present and I'm playing Mega Man X8 glitch-free; the way it's supposed to be. Before you ask, the custom music I use will be listed below near the end of the description. Thanks for stopping by.

Optic Sunflower's stage is kinda... meh. It's not bad per se, just boring (but not as boring as Burn Rooster's). The idea of going through various training modes is very unique and good on paper, but... it could've been executed way better. Not only is the time frame to get a perfect score SO small, but the stage (like plenty of others) just drags on far too long for it's own good and kills pace. I mean, look at that whole MINUTE of endurance in the very beginning. There was literally nothing hard at all about that segment, but tossing over a hundred of those enemies at you mindlessly without any sort of placement switching is not only boring, but just too repetitive and devoid of any challenge. Honestly, using the D-Glave here is more or less the optimal way of clearing this if you want to fight Cut Man at the end. The clear times of some of these are absurd, and abusing Rasetsusen is one of your quickest options for good clear time. And even then... this stage STILL took nearly seven minutes to finish! Granted, I could've shaved a minute off the last training program, but I was tired of retrying this stage due to the lightning on it's tail cheapshoting me over and over, so I just said forget it and killed it however I pleased.

Speaking of the Cut Man cameo though... lol.

I got nothing. He gets shredded by anything, so it really didn't matter what I killed him with.

Optic Sunflower... well, he's more interesting than his stage at least. If you've defeated Pandamonium, you'll have an easier time with this fight, because trust me, the lasers he shoots that force you to take cover can be a pain to react to. Same for those stupid spheres that actually got me once. However, it doesn't inflict damage. I still showed the ending result of the No Damage clear at the end for proof the game didn't register that catch as a hit, just to have one step ahead of those "this isn't no damage" comments that people love to leave these days when they're ignorant, but I digress. Still, a combination of Saber and Glaive works wonders against Optic Sunflower and his overdrive actually makes him more of a target. He'll ALWAYS attempt to reappear on you if he opts for a grounded appearance, so it's easy to get hits on him when he's being desperate. But you'll see a slightly more interesting take against him in the boss rush.
