Mega Phoenix 20p arcade challenge
1It's very rare I give a game a big, raspy fart, but this 'Arcade' game deserves it.
A unofficial 'sequel' to the fantastic 1980 classic by Taito, this version was released by Spanish developers and looks like it was created using the ill fated 'Arcadia' hardware that is practically and Amiga development kit.
so what's so 'bad' about this effort then. Graphics aren't even good for an Amiga, they look like public domain crap. Sound effects are public domain crap. Game play is unfair and over difficult. the 'Mega Phoenix' on stage 5 feels like it takes 1,000,000 shots to kill.
Even the mothership in this version is Fugly.
Do yourself a favour and play Taito's old as dirt version. You'll thank yourself for it and have a better time.
