Back in Saturn's stage, but this time at a gate opened that allows me to go west to another teleporter.

Upon taking it, the music changes to something quite ominous. Heading west through the doors reveals a guardian, the intro boss from Mega Man Zero 2, who needs to be defeated to advance. It's basically a step up in damage compared to Uranus, doing 1000-1500 damage to everyone with its attacks. Had I come here right when I was first in Saturn's stage, I would have struggled hard to keep up with its speed. As it stands, it's only the tiniest bit faster right now. Not hard at all to keep up with its damage.

As for its weakness? I just went with the first move I found during a practice run that hit for over 1000 damage, Bug Assault.

Once the boss folds, the room beyond reveals a sealed gate and a nearby terminal. Interacting with this terminal will unlock the gate, but only if all the Stardroids are defeated. If you haven't defeated them yet, worry not as there's a nearby teleporter up the ladder to bring you back to the main stage.

If you have beaten them? Congrats, your reward is a teleporter to the west. Taking it boots you back to the stage select screen, but with a twist...there's a new area to select right below Saturn's stage, the Nightmare, aka the Black Hole. A routine stage analysis reveals a first...weird maverick readings, but more importantly, all weapon skills are reported to be effective here. Also, someone's being held captive here. Could very well be Ciel which, if that's the case, she needs to be saved and fast.

Next time, the bonus stage of Mavericks Final begins.
