Megaman X Mavericks Final is a rpg fangame by maddrex77 set in the Megaman X universe. Included are remastered versions of the first three games and a brand new fourth chapter depicting events that happened after the third game.

The first intermission stage looms, but what about that energy stage?

Basically, there are no enemies in the energy stage, but there are five teleporters. In each one is a gate that unlocks upon beating a maverick, allowing you to grab a gold skinned version of a pickup worth 10 units of whatever you grab. The golden helmet past the bottom most teleporter rewards 10 Reboots. Good deal because I was planning to buy some before starting the next stage.

Speaking of the next stage, it gets revealed once you've picked up all five of the golden items here. Seems like Gate's fortress at first, but as Alia soon mentions, it's really a giant robot that plans to terrorize earth and must be stopped. Seems awfully lofty for a single intermission stage, right? Yeah. That's why it's more akin to an endgame set of stages as there's currently three stages to blast through before the final one can be tackled.

Making this task tougher is the fact Alia's typical stage analysis advice isn't as rock solid. She mentions no less than ELEVEN different types of attacks that could be effective over the course of these four stages.

While I could just easily bring in a full weapon skill using team, I don't want Fefnir & Harpuia falling too far behind level wise so they'll be joining X & Duo for the first two stages.

Attack wise, you only need to bring two skills to the first stage, Ice Crash and Ice Wave.

Enemy wise for the first stage, if you have at least two other weapon skill users alongside X, you can most likely nuke all the battles with three shots of Ice Wave before they can act. Since I'm working with only X & Duo here though, things are a bit more tricksy, especially due to the fact enemies hit for 400-500+ damage. Not fun, especially considering at least three of the battles here are with six enemies, meaning there's a very real chance of someone getting knocked out.

As for the boss, it goes by the name Crimson Dragoon and, surprise of surprises, wants to destroy X...or should I say original model X. Of course, being a big boss means the same thing as it did for the big maverick bosses...damage that ultimately isn't going to be an issue to heal from as long as you don't space out. Ice Crash is here simply because it's cheaper to spam compared to Ice Wave.
