This quest called: The Whispering Door (Lvl 20) can be obtained at The Bannered Mare in Whiterun. You can ask Hulda for the latest rumors until she mentions about Jarl Balgruuf's son. For every two characters killed by the Dragonborn, the weapon increases in power, adding 4 to the strength of the Absorb Health effect (up to the maximum of 30.) You must kill 10 "friendly" characters to max out the strength of the Absorb Health Enchantment. She is the Daedric Prince of Lies, Sex, Murder, and Secrets takes form of a half-spider. And though she has a female appearance, she can be anything. She is a member of the dunmer's Three Good Daedra that guided them and the Morag Tong.The blade has changed hands many times over the years. It is believed that the Eternal Champion himself once wielded the blade when it was discovered in Valenwood. In the Second Era, the Vestige fought with Nerien'eth. An Altmer lich found inside the Crypt of Hearts II. Some time in the early Second Era, an Altmer named Nerien'eth uncovered the Ebony Blade while scouring Tamriel for artifacts to study. He brought it to the Agea Relle for study, believing it to be an ancient Akaviri blade. Mephala's whisperings through the blade slowly began to corrupt Nerien'eth's mind, until eventually he snapped and ensnared the souls of his students and fellow researchers. He summoned Daedra to torture their souls for eternity, and shattered the soul of his wife Alanwe so that she would suffer the most. The Agea Relle became known as the Crypt of Hearts, and was avoided by the people of Rivenspire for many years. In the Third Era, it is believed that the Eternal Champion himself once wielded the blade when it was discovered in Valenwood. Later, it was rewarded to the Hero of Daggerfall sometime after the War of Bretony. In the late Third Era, the Hero of Kvatch was granted the blade by Mephala the Webspinner. Later, in the Fourth Era, it was discovered by Balgruuf the Greater of Whiterun sometime before the events of Skyrim, and he had it hidden underneath Dragonsreach ever since. I just wanted to show you my VR perspective for this quest.
