In this video, we’re going to go over my first impressions of Metaphor Refantazio after about 20 hours and why it’s such a refreshing addition to the RPG space.

So after finishing Star Wars Outlaws and the Shattered Space DLC for Starfield, I was starting to feel like I would never get to play another good game this year. 2024 has been a massive disappointment in the RPG and action game space (unless you’re a big Soulslike fan) - with many of the most anticipated titles getting delayed until next year. I’m looking at you KCD2.

But over the weekend I got completely lost in Metaphor Refantazio and finally recaptured what it feels like to immerse myself in a great RPG. And after 20 hours with this game, I can easily say Metaphor is the best new RPG I’ve played all year.
