Happy Halloween to viewers, and subscribers alike, I went back into my library to dig up among the first PS4 games I had and see what would a good episode of the series here. One FPS that has stood out for me in Metro which is a franchise based on the novels authored by Dmitry Glukhovsky, with this game being 1 of 2 in the Metro Redux released for PS4 in 2014, with the original game being from 2010 on PC and Xbox.

Metro 2033 Redux is a plot by plot telling of the novel's story through a first person and survival horror type game: A nuclear war in 2013 has wiped out most of humanity, It is now 2033, 20 years after and we are put in control of a character named Artyom who has been living within the Moscow Metro system ever since the war, and when we meet a character named Hunter, one of the Rangers of the Metro, we make a vow and leave the safety of underground to the surface.

To start with, despite it's age and how some cutscenes look washed out, Metro 2033 Redux does look still like a moody and dark game. The option to be Spartan or Survival affects the gameplay as Survival forces you to use your ammo wisely while Spartan works in the traditional of a modern FPS game, This game will do everything it can to un-nerve you with a big focus on ambushes and also heavy handed segments that affect the ending, Shooting can be clumsy because you need to double tap often against enemies. There are some parts that were very tiring but I found it a very solid and scary run.
