Metro Last Light {part 17} 'REALLY STRUGGALING to save Anna still' Ranger Hardcore survival !!!
5Let's TRY and play Metro Last Light Redux (part 17) and see if I can finally get through a video without achieving the current objective... Spoiler warning. I don't lol. But I really really tried, and I am doing my very best which should hopefully pay off eventually! All my gameplay footage is captured using the Xbox One's built-in video capture feature and I am playing on my Xbox One S console. So, continuing from where we left off last episode, we have another crack at getting passed the soldiers and finding Anna while the morons are trying to also burn the place down around us to the ground. The fire everywhere becomes another health hazard as we need to not only wear our gas mask, but we must also keep ourselves from getting too close to the flames as they will whittle down our health. I am glad to say that I finally managed to kill all the soldiers in the area and could then find exactly where I need to go to move forwards. Also, by killing all the enemies I am able to explore everywhere and collect as many supplies as possible which should help us in the next section... But it doesn't as I run out of supplies very quickly which gets me into a bind that sadly I wasn't able to pass by the end of this video. But it turns out we have to climb on top of the railway carriage and then walk to the other end of it so we can then jump off onto the floor the other side of the fencing where the guys that killed us in the last episode were hanging out. Once we have gotten down and into this new section, we are able to continue without as much nervousness as we graciously pass-through a save point (check point). From here we have to make our way under a long drainage ducked under the floorboards where we then pop up in an area that has what looks like flowers or food being grown. The biggest issue with this area is that the farther on we get the more the flames from the saboteur's envelope everything around us! This makes hiding around corners and behind walls extra challenging as we will lose health if we are just not careful. So, we continue walking through the various corridors and rooms taking out enemy soldiers until we finally come to a large room with a big double-sided staircase that leads to the second floor. This place is entirely engulfed in flames and so fighting is very tricky due to not just the hot flames hurting us but also, we are equipped with a night vision sight, and this really doesn't work well at all when very bright flickering flames of an inferno are in every direction! So, lining up shots at the enemy, well, even finding the enemies in plain sight becomes near impossible. It's at this point though that after taking out the enemies in the room we are in we must then head through a flaming double doorway which looks like we cannot actually safely run through, but it turns out we CAN!! It is at this very point on the other side of the flaming double doorway that all our problems arrive at once! We have no place to really hide, all the walls are covered with a thick coat of flame and the enemies just keep advancing us... Oh, and we have run out of all our guns ammo... SOOOO... I did try using bombs and knives that I had in my pockets, but it was no use. They just come to fast and accurately shooting and poor Artyom can't even get the bloody things out his pocket before we are shot dead... So, this is where I had to end the playthrough...
