Metro Last Light {part 22} 'Sunday sneaking' Ranger Hardcore survival !!!
This is Metro Last Light Redux on the Xbox One video number 22 in the series. All gameplay footage was captured using the Xbox One's built-in capture capability and upscaled to 1080p. In this Let's Play we start off in what appears to be an outdoors train storage and repair depot with our little dark one friend that is dressed adorably in human children's clothes. The little dark one is always up ahead of us looking out for enemy positions then highlighting them for us making things mildly easier. After searching the outside area of the depot thoroughly we then make it
indoors into a warehouse through an open loading bay door. On opening a smaller closed door, we suddenly come face to face with a group of soldiers heavily armed and latterly at arm's length from us. It's a nervous situation at first but is quickly calmed down when it is revealed to us that these guys do know Artyom and politely welcome him inside. It's in this down time section of this episode when we are able to look around the warehouse and get our bearings. Inside one of the stored trains we see two store fronts, one selling weapons and the other selling ammunition and reusables. I ended up dropping the sniper rifle that I used in the last episode and replaced it with a machine gun they call the Bastard which had installed a night vision scope and a silencer which I decided would be a better weapon due to the environment I had arrived at. So, after stocking up on some more shotgun ammunition the little dark one expressed worry over a large group of men that had entered the warehouse from the other side. I wasn't sure whether these where part of the group that had originally welcomed us into the warehouse and had for some reason turned hostile or if they were a different group all together that had just arrived with intentions of taken the depot for themselves. It wasn't explained very well and none of the friendly soldiers got into the fight with me which I found strange as I did end up opening fire and making all kinds of noise that surely, they should have responded to. Maybe this section of the game is so easy to sneak through that the developers just didn't think anyone would ever do anything other than hide and sneak. I don't feel that's a reasonable way to explain this though. Maybe I missed something that explained exactly who this hostile group where and why my friendly guys didn't step up and help me fight them off... After taking out all the enemies in this part of the warehouse we end up going through a metal door and into a second warehouse where we once again have to make our way through another group of soldier enemies. I have a bit more success sneaking this time and after moving down a long room we come to a doorway to a stairwell which take out the last enemy and head to the next area through a hole in the brick wall. It's during this last fight when things become unstuck, and I died after almost getting through to the next objective. When I reloaded back into the level at the checkpoint all the enemies where on high alert looking for us so the route, I had taken the first attempted was now no longer an option. This was frustrating and being a Sunday and not wanting to be too noisy for the neighbours I decided it's best to just end the episode at this point. Normally I would have carried on and gotten passed this part but the people living next to me are way less forgiving on Sundays lol. Anyway, thanks for watching everyone! I hope it was an okay episode and that you still enjoyed it. Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE and follow my YouTube journey, I would very much appreciate it! Take care and stay safe... CHEERS ALL
