Metro Last Light {part 2} Am I an abomination? These guys have a test apparently!!!
5LetsPlay Metro Last Light Redux this is video {part 2}. Game footage was captured using the Xbox One built in capture features and the face cam window is recorded using a HD camcorder. In todays episode we start out waking up in what appears to be a toilet while some men can be heard talking and berating someone. We realise very quickly that we are tied up and have become a prisoner alongside some other poor soles that are also tied up. The Nazi's have captured us and our slippery little 'Dark One's' child we captured in the previous episode. It isn't long before the prisoners being interrogated are murdered after having there heads measured to find out if they are "a monster" as stated by the Nazis. It is soon our turn to find out weather we are a monster but before we get the answer the only other surviving prisoner with us leaps into action and on his cue we also get involved and take out the two interrogators so that we can break free from our binds. After escaping the toilet we woke up in we find ourselves what appears to be deep inside enemy territory and obviously we have to escape but we have a secret weapon.. Our new friend Pavel who we learn is a communist to which Artyom states he doesn't much care for communists but is willing to look beyond it so as to have help with escaping. Artyom and his new communist friend get under the cover of the shadows and start there efforts to find a way home. Will Artyom manage to escape? |Will his new friend be with him if he finally does? Find out in this sneaky creepy stealth of an episode! So this part of the game seemed to be mostly tutorial based as Pavel is kind of your guide teaching you how to avoid enemies and hide effectively. I much prefer this way of doing tutorials as its more engaging and keeps you well and truly inside the world unlike when a game uses long written prompts pausing the game every few minutes or plays a video showing you what your supposed to do! So a big thumbs up for the tutorial in this game. I noticed how much of the games mechanics are clearly explained to the player which were lacking some what in the first game. Some people will probably prefer the figure it out and experiment way of doing it over the more hand holding method of clearly stating it all but for me I personally don't mind either way as they both have there place depending on the character your playing as. If you are a character that doesn't have combat training or stealth skills then it makes more sense that the player will have to figure it out the same way the character does. You go on that journey with them. But Artyom in this game is a seasoned fighter and survivor by this point making it much more easier for the player to get to Artyom's level having the key information explained to you. Anywho, sorry if this one seemed a bit lower energy. We had visitors over while I was recording it so I had to be mindful of the noise which kind of ends up sucking some of the energy from it. But don't worry as I will be back on form for the next one just wait and see!! I really hoped you all enjoyed the video and your enjoying the series so far.
