Metroid Dread: Part 7: Morph Bombing & Flash Shifting My Way Through Burenia
I’m going through more of Dairon, at first. This means having to avoid that speedy yellow E.M.M.I. more. I’ll eventually find that Omega power to beat it.
There’s a second power generator in Dairon. Find it and bring power back to the rest of this region, but be careful, as this power will also now freeze some rooms, including the ones you just went through, and you’ll have to take new routes.
----------
Soon afterwards, I find Dairon's Map Room, a little further than that, I finally reach a Chozo Statue that has the Morph Ball Bomb.
Like before, you can use these bombs to give yourself a boost if you can stack them properly, but they're mainly used to blast through pink Bomb Blocks and hidden blocks. You can kinda use these to "scan" the area for secrets.
You can also use the bombs to activate Morph Ball Launchers. It's like these mazes were just made for Samus!
----------
Much later, I reach another transportation station that takes Samus to the region of Burenia.
This place is similar to Dairon, expect it's an aquatic region. Be prepared to tread through a lot of water, here, as Samus in her current state gets some of her movement capabilities neutered by the water (no wall jump, no slide, etc).
According to ADAM in his next room, Samus can find and use the Gravity Suit to assist her with moving through water. She can also try to find the Grapple Beam and Space Jump to help her out, as well.
----------
Near the end of this level, I pick up the next Aeion ability: Flash Shift.
This cool move allows Samus to zip left and/or right up to three times. This will allow you to zip right past Shutter Platforms before they close their doors.
Unfortunately, this technique doesn't work underwater right now, either, but isn't it cool to glow Samus up trying to do this?
