As we resume the hunt, we see what is most assuredly water this time. It does beg the question of what that stuff earlier was, as the water here doesn't seem to have any effect on Samus whatsoever... Far more concerning though is the fact that Metroids are starting to take on a new, more dangerous form : the Gamma Metroid. These ones can use lightning to attack, as well as to shield themselves from missiles. If that's not enough? They're faster than Alphas, and take twice as many missiles to take down.
