Finishing the cleanup of this area, we've taken out the last Metroid for the sector, meaning the lava has drained further still. We also get a few more goodies, a new beam, and even fight an optional boss, Arachnus. Fighting this thing brought to mind one of my most solid memories of playing this game long ago, which we'll discuss toward the end. Mmm, cereal...
