Here's a walkthrough of me going through Metroid II: Return of Samus for the Game Boy. I am going for 100% pickups and am trying to beat it with the best ending. There is no sequence breaking in this game, as you can't get the main items out of order, but you can get a couple expansions early.

I go back to the Main Tunnel and head to another area thanks to the lava being drained. In this third Chozo City, I find the Space Jump, which is always helpful. I then find another Missile Expansion, and then the even better Spazer Beam.
