Here is my 100% Walkthrough for Metroid: Samus Returns for the Nintendo 3DS. I will be going through this on Hard Mode, and will also try to completely fill up the map, so this won’t be a speed run, and you will see me run back to fill in some square at times.

In this part, I go through Area 1, which seems to be another Chozo Ruins. Here, we get some more main items, such as Bombs, Ice Beam, and Spider Ball, which will be very useful. Ice Beam + Melee Counter is a pretty broken combo as long as you use it quickly, and the Spider Ball helps you climb a good number of walls and ceilings. I take out the four Alpha Metroids in this area, and use their DNA to unlock the path to Area 2, which is where I save.
