Metroid: Samus Returns 100% Walkthrough Part 9 – Area 8 and Queen Metroid
195Here is my 100% Walkthrough for Metroid: Samus Returns for the Nintendo 3DS. I will be going through this on Hard Mode, and will also try to completely fill up the map, so this won’t be a speed run, and you will see me run back to fill in some square at times.
I go through Area 8, which is the final area. At first, you’ll find a lot of expansion in the main room, so be sure to obtain them. Soon after, the Metroid Counter will increase by 10, which shows that there are newly hatched Metroids in the area. Once you defeat all ten of them, you’ll finally be able to take on the Queen Metroid. After defeating it, you will find the Metroid Hatchling, which will be your companion from now on until the endgame, and it turns out that it can eat the blue/green crystals you have been seeing in every area, which means that you will need to use it to get every expansion. I get a few more expansions in Area 8 and save in the Surface area.
