Samus confronts Mother Brain and defeats the abomination, escaping the base before it explodes. However, her ship is quickly shot down by the Space Pirate fleet, leaving her stranded on Zebes, and without her power suit.

Now unable to fight the pirates on even footing, Samus must use stealth and her own wits to reach the depths of the guarded Chozo Ruins nearby, and restore her suit through a Chozo ritual. Once her powers are restored, the final assault begins!
