6Schumacher had equalled and then broken Juan Manuel Fangio’s record of 5 Driver’s Championships which was set in 1957. The 2003 title was his 4th of 5 consecutive titles (also a record) and Schumacher would set the record of 7 total titles the following year. This record was equalled in 2020 by Lewis Hamilton and is likely to stand for a few (3?) more years as Hamilton will probably not win the title in 2023 and if Vertsappen’s form holds is unlikely to win again.
