Mid-Range Splat and Pinpoint combined on the Shadowhawk - Mechwarrior Online The Daily Dose #275
302The new Civil War Tech enables a lot of new builds with the olf Mechs. Today I take out my trusty Shadowhawk SHD-2K with 3 MRM10 and 3 Light PPCs.
Both weapons supplement each other very well. The Medium Range Missiles are good for removing armor and the PPCs can finish the job with their pinpoint damage. Also you have something to fire early on with the Light PPCs since their max range is 1080 meters.
The playstyle is very safe and easy. You get yourself a piece of cover at about 300-400 meters and use your jump jets to thrust yourself into the air. At the pinnacle you stop the thrust and shoot your very high mounted weapons. Try to minimize your exposure time to avoid return fire.
