Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Part 39: Break the Chains
So, after killing a Warcheif with some help for an odd source (AKA, using the Branding system), we then head back to the Queen and finally figure out what was troubling/the reason for her sickness and, before I say anything else that might spoil it, I totally called it. When we first saw her, she had gray hair and looked super weak and it gave me flash backs to the King from Twin Towers who had been cursed/poisoned by Sauron. Well, it seems that something very similar happened to the Queen; Her staff apparently was the source of the corruption (It happens pretty earlier on in the video so, I don’t think I’m spoiling too much). The really crazy thing that I think they skipped explaining is how her Staff was able to pull Celebrimbor out of Talion like it did. I understand that it’s the Dark Lord’s plan to get the soul/ghost of Celebrimbor but how does the staff do that; I assume that it was imbued with his power and, after corrupting the Queen enough, was able to control her to do such an act. They do tell us that she was under Saruman’s spell (she had searched for him to help her) but they never really explain the crazy magic. Regardless, we do save her from the corruption of Sauron/Saruman and find out that the Tower and Black Hand are on a nearby Island. In order to attack them, we are going to need quite the army so it’s time to start collecting some Warchiefs.
