About this video: This video will show you exactly how to boost FPS in Minecraft 1.19. How will we make Minecraft run faster? Well, the answer is Sodium. Sodium is a mod for the Fabric loader that is designed to fix lag in Minecraft 1.19. It does this by optimizing a bunch of Minecraft code. It also gives you more graphics and performance options to choose from.

Before we get into Sodium though, how else can you boost FPS in Minecraft 1.19? Well, in the Minecraft Launcher, you can do two things. The first is lower your resolution. The lower the resolution the more FPS Minecraft will get. You can also add more RAM to Minecraft 1.19 to get a few more FPS. Our in-depth guide on this is in the description above!

From there though, we need to get Sodium. We have a complete guide on how to download and install the Sodium FPS mod for Minecraft 1.19 in the description above. You must have Sodium in order to get more FPS in Minecraft 1.19.

With Sodium installed, we can go ahead and set it up. Do this by going to Options, Video Settings. You will notice this looks very different. This is due to Sodium.

On the General Tab, turn render distance and simulation distance all the way down. This will help make Minecraft less laggy by a lot. Also on the general tab make sure Max Framerate is turn all the way up and VSync is unchecked. If these are turned on, you will won’t be able to get more FPS in Minecraft 1.19 as it will be capped.

The Quality tab is up next. Here, you want graphics, weather and leaves quality turned to fast. Clouds need to be turned off as does Smooth Light, Entity Shadows, and Biome Blend. Particles can be set to minimal and entity distance should be 50%.

Moving to the Performance tab, you will be able to optimize how Minecraft interacts with your computer here optimizing it to give you a Minecraft 1.19 FPS boost. Here, turn Chunk Update Threads to default, turn always defer chunk updates on as well as block face culling, fog occlusion, entity culling, particle culling, and animate only visible textures. It is worth noting that some of these can cause graphics issues, so if that happens feel free to tweak them.

Lastly, on the Advanced tab, turn chunk memory allocator to Asyc, leave CPU render-ahead limit the same, and turn on Allow Direct Memory Access.

Before jumping in game, make sure that you have all Minecraft resource packs disabled. There is no such thing as a Minecraft performance boosting texture pack. Thus, you should just run default Minecraft textures.

Now, can jump into Minecraft 1.19 and get the best lag free Minecraft experience possible. If you have any questions about how to get more FPS in Minecraft 1.19, let us know in the comments.
