FEATURES -

Player races(personally, I find halflings to be the most interesting simply because they're smaller than a block and can fit into spaces smaller than a block tall)
New nether content(nether trees, a 'firestone' ore that allows you to craft things such as firestone tools which have some unique properties, various new mobs)
New 'End' content('ebony' trees, various new mobs)
Jungle improvements!
New block breaking system(it actually saves the damage value based on eight different intervals, in the final version of v0.666 there will actually be 'fancy' models for block breaking, unfortunately they didn't make it into the preview build)
Fancy models! Things such as rails, ladders, grass, items dropped on the ground and more now have 'fancy' models(can be disabled/enabled in the 'Evil Minecraft' section of options).
Blood! (can be disabled/enabled in the Evil Minecraft section of options)
New torch/lantern system(normal torches burn out, 'lanterns' are crafted using glowstone)
Graveyards, pyramids, and other new worldgen features!
Wizard towers(with testificate wizards inside) can be found in the plains biome, rarely!
Ashes(left from fires)
Coin system! Nearly every mob drops a number of coins. copper, silver, gold, platinum.
