Want a void world of your own? Now you can! In this video, I go thru the process of making a void world in Minecraft's single player mode. And this works equally well in vanilla as it does in modded Minecraft.

Void world preset:

Minecraft 1.7 and below:
2;80x0;2;

Minecraft 1.8 and above:
3;80*0;2;

***Remember to turn cheats on!***

You will spawn in a world and fall to your death. As fast as you can, type the following command:

/gamemode 1

Then double-tap the Spacebar to fly. If you are fast enough, you will not die in the void.

At this point you are good to go, but I do a few extra things:

1) I teleport to the center of the map with this command:
/tp [name] 0 64 0
2) Set my spawn point and the world's spawn chunks where I am:
/spawnpoint [name]
/setworldspawn
3) Put a block below me:
/setblock ~ ~-2 ~ minecraft:stone
(or use the Angel block from Extra Utilities)
4) Clean up any structures I can see
5) Get Night Vision and Fly genes from Advanced Genetics mod. I have this described in this video: http://youtu.be/1ETqJFUtlPY
