Minecraft 1.4.6 has been released and a few interesting changes have occured. Along some of the more interesting changes like Fireworks, there are now enchanted books that are quite beneficial for any adventurer.
In this Minecraft 1.4.6 Enchanted Books Tutorial, I'll go over the basics of creating books and how to create both an enchantment table and anvil. All of these are necessary to utilize Enchanted Books in Minecraft.

Did you know that you can find Enchanted Books in Dungeons, Mineshafts, Strongholds, Temples, and Villages? Any natural chest that you would find in the world, there is the potential of finding an enchantment (back to the RPG roots I see).
There is also a new Enchantment that has entered in Minecraft 1.4.6. The enchantment is called Thorns which can only be created with the help of an enchanted book. You can find it in dungeons or potentially make it (rare). What the Thorns enchantment does, is that it gives you the potential of deflecting some of the damage back at your enemies. This is extremely useful if you apply it on multiple pieces of armor.
The Unbreaking Enchantment in Minecraft 1.4.6 can now be applied to quite a few things. Swords, Bows, Armor (of all types), Farming Hoes, Fishing Rods, Flint & Steel, and even Shears. (Yes, Shears!). Now you can apply unbreaking 3 to shears and not have to worry about breaking them every 10 minutes.
Another final enchantment modification that has occured is the ability to apply a silk touch enchantment to swords and shears, naturally. This will allow you to obtain cobweb without modding up your client.
In a nutshell, I go over how to create the items needed to enchant your books. I create both the enchantment table and anvil. I then show you the method on how you enchant your items. I'll also briefly show you how to rename your items/armor/etc with the Anvil, as well. If you liked this tutorial, you should check out my other tutorials as well.
