MiSTer FPGA - R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 [JogCon Time Trials & 1440p Demo Loop] / PlayStation
*1440p/60* Returning to Ridge Racer Type 4 again for time trials on 4 courses using the JogCon with full force feedback enabled. After practicing these courses over the past week for the current MiSTer FPGA Discord challenge, these are the final times I'm submitting. I also took the opportunity to record the demo loops in full 1440p at the end, as an update to my previous videos since they had a considerable amount of noise at 1080p, especially with scanlines. All races played with the stock Stage 4 Grip car, since only the stock cars were allowed in the challenge.

The PlayStation core was created by FPGAzumSpass, whom previously brought us the GBA, Lynx and WonderSwan cores, along with enhancements to the Game Boy and NES cores, and significantly improved performance in the AO486 core. After releasing the excellent N64 core on MiSTer in early 2024 he is now working on his own game for the Game Boy Advance! Thanks to Robert Peip for the tremendous amount of joy shared with folks across the world when experiencing these great systems on MiSTer.

None of this would be possible without the constant hard work of Sorgelig. It cannot be overstated how much he has done and continues to do for this project, since its beginning. You can support him either at his Patreon in the link below, or on Paypal, depending on your preference. MiSTer is a paradigm shift in how we can experience these classic games. This is a long-term preservation project that will continue to grow so that gamers today and in the future can experience these excellent systems as accurately and lag-free as possible. Donating what you can will help keep the updates coming. Thank you.
