Mists of Pandaria-Pally Tanking Temple of the Jade Serpent-Commentary
2Welcome back to another video on tanking in the Temple of the Jade Serpent. This time I'm on my paladin tank. On live, he's a split holy/prot pally but I used him as a tank for this video.
I transferred the pally to the beta to compare druid tanking to pally tanking. So far I would say that the pally makes a smoother transition from live to beta. He feels more at home tanking than my druid INITIALLY did. The last patch introduced some changes to druid tanking that made it better. Even with the changes, I think the percentage of change for the pally is smaller.
A few tiers had some rough choices for picking talents but I went with long arm, repentance, eternal flame, unbreakable spirit and divine purpose. I believe a HUGE key in the build is eternal flame. I like the fact that I have a hot to play around with. Divine purpose is another lynchpin in the build allowing me to proc a free, 3 strength holy power ability. Good for HUGE self healing if I WOG and then flame or just standard tanking like flame+shield of righteous. All in all I'd say pally tanking is fun and doesn't feel bad despite the loss of things like holy shield, exo, auras and righteous defense.
