Model Train Tutorial: Let's Fit The Train Tech Coach Lighting Kit Into A Hornby Class 153 HD
16In this video. I am going to show you how to fit the Train-Tech Coach Lighting bar into the OO Gauge Hornby Class 153 DMU railcar. The kit is very simple to install and no heavy tools are required to do this work. I used black tack to secure the lighting unit into the roof of the Class 153 bodyshell. The lighting kit comes with two LED's for the door warning lights and a 3 volt lithium battery for longevity of the battery life. The unit is also fitted with a 4 minute relay timer that will switch off the lights from the last movement providing that there is no further movement as this lighting unit is fitted with a motion sensor that turns the lights on and off automatically. This is also a review of the Train-Tech coach lighting unit and is NOT a review of the Hornby Class 153 as I have reviewed this unit back in 2011.
