Tutorial: Let's Install A Lenz LE1000E DCC Decoder Into A DCC Ready Model Locomotive OO Gauge HD
This is a simple tutorial to help novice modellers that are new to DCC (Digital Command Control) to install an 8 pin decoder into a DCC Ready model train with no need to solder or glue anything. In this first video. I will show how to fit a Lenz LE1000E DCC Decoder into a Hornby Class 60 using minimal tools. Only electrical tape is used to prevent the decoder from touching anything metal inside the model locomotive thus eliminating the risk of a short circuit. I have not included the programming of the decoder in this video as I will cover this in a separate video as its easier to keep things in bitesize parts. For veteran DCC users, these videos may not apply to them as they know what they are doing and I know there is other videos like this but I want to contribute my how-to videos as I am a strong believer in give and take.
