6The final steps in v2 part development: Combining the three separate Saturn Tower section types into one multi-modular part. Nothing fancy, it's just the three section types lumped together into one part for convenience and to reduce the number of parts in the part picker window; it's basically three separate parts in one.
The Shuttle FSS section will be combined in the same way, reducing the number of parts loaded by 4 total.
I'm also going to make the Saturn and Shuttle launcher bases launch clamps like all the other stands, bases and plates. KSP can still be twitchy when you move a vehicle into physics range of a free-standing object, sometimes causing a violent explosion. So I'm going to end that possibility for good my eliminating the free-standing bases, but they will still be available in the v2 download as a separate extra.
