Monkey Island - The Secret of Monkey Island - Walkthrough Part 4
100:00 - Give the Monkey the 5 Bananas we have now collected and it will now follow you around the map. Exit to the map.
01:20 - Head to the eastern part of the island and then futher east again and click on the Clearing in the middle. Walk to the right until you get to the Totem Pole and use the Pull command on the Nose. Walk away and the Monkey will copy, allowing Guybrush to get through the gate.
02:42 - Walk over to the Giant Monkey Head and pick up the Wimpy Little Idol on the ground. Exit back to the map screen.
03:37 - Head back west and then south and go to the Beach and click on the Rowboat. Go right round to the top of the island again and get off at the Beach then back to the Cannibal Village. Go to the left then walk back right to bump into the Cannibals again. Tell them you'll give them anything then open the inventory and give them the Wimpy Little Idol.
05:58 - Now we can head to the left and go into the hut which was previously locked. Pick up the Banana Picker then head outside. Herman Toothrot will be waiting at the right of the screen, give him the Banana Picker in exchange for the Monkey Head Key. Walk back to the map, back to the Rowboat and back to the Beach at the bottom of the island.
07:50 - Walk to the Jungle and then to the Clearing with the Giant Monkey Head. Use the Monkey Head Key on the Giant Monkey Ear then head into the Gigantic Monkey Head. Now we are going to need something to help us navigate this area so head back out.
09:30 - Now we need to head all the way back to the Cannibal Village again on the Rowboat. Tell the Cannibals you are looking for LeChuck and Elaine to learn of the special root that LeChuck stole. The will then tell Guybrush he won't be able to find LeChuck without the head of the navigator. After the conversation open the inventory and find the green leaflet which is called "How to Get Ahead in Navigating" and give it to the Cannibals. They will now give Guybrush the Head of the Navigator.
15:54 - We now need to make our way back around the island and to the Giant Monkey Head again and go inside. Walk to the right, open the inventory and use the Head of the Navigator. Take the path
in the same direction as the Head points to. Each screen changes every time you leave it and there is no set route so keep following the Head and you will eventually arrive at the ship.
20:50 - When you get to the ship open the inventory and talk to the Head of the Navigator. Ask them for the necklace and keep begging until it agrees to give it up. Now open the inventory and use the Necklace. Guybrush will now be invisible to ghosts so click on the ship to go onboard.
23:17 - Walk to the left of the main deck, go through the door to the Captain's room and use the Magnetic Compass on the Key on the wall to grab it. Now exit to the main deck. Head down the hatch to the right then go right into the Cargo Hold.
24:35 - Pick up the Ghost Feather on the ground here then head back to the room to the left. Use the Ghost Feather on the Sleeping Ghost Crew and pick up the Jug o' Grog he drops. Go back to the Cargo Hold to the right and use the Key on the Hatch on the floor and click on it to head down.
25:55 - Use the Jug o' Grog on the Dish on the floor then pick up some of the Cooking Grease. Head back to the main deck and use the Glob of Grease on the door to the right to stop it from squeaking. Now go through the door and pick up the Ghost Tools.
27:27 - Head back to the main deck, down the hatch and into the Cargo Room and use the Ghost Tools on the Glowing Crate at the right hand side to get the Root. Head back to the main deck and then exit the ship.
28:35 - Walk to the cave and to save you a 10 minute journey back to the Village the scene will cut straight there. Guybrush will give the Cannibals the root and after a "look a three headed monkey" later they will return with the Root Beer.
29:52 - Head out of the Village and again to save Guybrush a very long journey he will be back to where the ship was. Speak with the Ghost Crew to find out LeChuck has left for Melee Island. Depending on whether you destroyed the ship or not with the rock catapult earlier on either Guybrush's Crew or Herman Toothrot will show up to head to Melee.
32:52 - Back on Melee Island, head to the Church using the Root Beer on the Ghost Pirates Guybrush encounter on the way. When you get to the Church choose one the dialogue options to stop the wedding.
38:20 - LeChuck will punch Guybrush all around the island until he ends up at Stan's. When LeChuck pulls him out of the vending machine he will also pull out some Root Beer. While LeChuck is still winding up a punch, pick up the Root Beer, open the inventory and use it on him to zap him for good! If he punches Guybrush before you can zap him, just wait and he will hit you straight back to Stan's to try again. All that is left to do is to sit back and enjoy the ending.
