I played Monster Hunter: World at release, got about 30 hours in, and then put it away deciding it wasn't for me. I booted it up again about a month ago in preparation for the Steam release and was completely swept away with it, I don't know how my impressions were so wrong the first time around.

MH:W is a masterpiece of what game design can look like and should be a template for publishers and developers who want to bring their niche titles into the mainstream. This is a game that wont be for everyone, it can be polarizing, but if you are the type of gamer this game is for then you have over a hundred hours of fun in store for you with this one.
