That's probably the most physically correct way to describe the maneuver, since "lomcovak" doesn't quite tell us what's going on (apart from what the pilot feels during the execution). As for the "gyroscopic" part, Knife Edge Spin is most likely possible due to gyroscopic effects, but it's not exactly the same.
The tumbling, however, is possible in the most part due to the gyroscopic *precession* skewing the axis of rotation thanks to the external forces (combined control surfaces efforts plus the outside snap roll), making the plane transition from outside snap to KES to forward tumble.
