A high power delegation from Nigeria known as "Friends of Russia" paid a solidarity visit to the Russian Embassy in Abuja over the killing of about 140 people in crocus city hall in Moscow by four terrorists.
The visit led by the former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode and former Minister of Communication, Isa Pantami was to Commiserate with the President, Vladimir Putin and people of Russia.
Speaking after signing the condolence register, the former Nigeria's top government officials condemned the act and promised to stand with Russia.
The Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, Alexey Shebarshin in an emotion laden voice said four of the suspects were arrested close to the Ukrainian border.
He said there was no conclusive information as investigation is ongoing and the outcome would be made public by President Vladimir Putin.
The team that paid condolence visit to the Embassy include, former Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Senator Basheer Lado Mohammed, Senator Mohammed Hassan who represented Yobe South Senatorial District; a former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon Farouk Aliyu and the Campaign spokesperson for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Eastern part of the country during the 2023 Presidential election, Joseph Onoh.
