The mother of a baby saved by a Warrant Officer on his way to work in Air Traffic Control at RAF Waddington has been reunited with her hero today. The drama unfolded in January when WO Ian Phillips was flagged down by a distraught mum clutching her 15 week old baby Poppy. She had turned blue and had stopped breathing. WO Phillips gave the baby life saving first aid. After several minutes she began to breath but was very poorly still. He then used his military training to pinpoint an exact safe place for an air ambulance to land and guided it in.
