My Childhood Nintendo DS Game Collection - Part 1
The Nintendo DS is one of the greatest video game consoles of all time, so naturally there are some absolutely amazing games for it. In this video I introduce the DS games that I played growing up, which include titles from a variety of popular series including Super Mario Bros., Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Pokemon! As well as many games which were started or gained immense popularity on the Nintendo DS such as Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, Professor Layton, and 9 Persons 9 Hours 9 Doors.
Regardless of what kind of video games you like, the Nintendo DS was a master of all genres. It was great for platformers and RPGs, but where it really shone was with its immense library of puzzle and text adventure style games. With an included stylus that the player could use to tap and manipulate the touch screen, games that would have been otherwise impossible to properly develop such as Hotel Dusk and Professor Layton were given a console where they could thrive. When the Nintendo DS was announced, I bet no one ever imaged just how revolutionary it would be! Even Nintendo originally announced that the DS was meant as something to exist along side their Game Boy line of handheld consoles, so seeing how things turned out, perhaps even they were shocked!
So join me as we take a trip back to the past of 2004 and celebrate the life of the Nintendo DS. We'll also be looking at the Game Boy Advance games that I have stored within each of the DS game cases, as one of the coolest features of the Nintendo DS was that it was compatible with pretty much all GBA software! Feel free to post some of your favorite Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS games down in the comments below!
