My first ever game! Two month progress! - Medieval RPG - devlog #1
Hello everyone, welcome to my latest video where I will be starting something completely new! I recently got into game developing in the unity engine and coding with C#! I'm not really good at it as I am fairly new to it but I think I made enough progress for my first official devlog video. Just so update you and show you that I am indeed alive and doing pretty well!
This project started 15.5.2023. and I must say that I devoted a good chunk of my everyday to this project because I am really enjoying it.
The game (currently no official name), is set to a medieval theme and it is CURRENTLY about a man who is trying to defend his kingdom with not many people on his side, as the kingdom was overrun with bad people. Why is currently written in caps lock? That is the magic of game development because i can change it to whatever I want, and nothing is official!
Obviously, the game is still far, far, far from being finished or even close to the alpha stage, but I wanted to start devlog because I want some fair critisism and positives so I know that I am on the right track.
The game is planned on being firstly released on Steam, but it is not on Steam pages yet and it wont be for some time, until I figure things out. Of course I wont talk about the release date because it's not really a game yet, as there is no story or much content, there are just mechanics that I implemented, and most of them needs some tweaks and changes, but that is fairly easy to fix.
I really hope that these devlog will come regularly, at least once every 2 months, because I have so many ideas and things to do so I don't think there will be a problem with that.
I really hope you like what you are seeing and that you like how the game looks. It is a low-poly style game and I understand that it may not be for everyone but I personally think that this style is not muched used and is perfect for an old-school hardcore RPG that I am making. Of course, do tell if you think otherwise.
Lastly, if you like this video, be sure to leave me a like and share this video with your friends, subscribe to the channel so that you are notified when the next devlog is up. Please do comment down below any ideas for the game because you might actually give me some ideas that I will implement I like them. (so you could be my co-developer :P)
