Review for Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End (2016).

Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End (2016) is an action adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment - and is the last Uncharted game focused on Nathan Drake, and his search for more lost treasure.

The story of Uncharted 4 (2016) tells us more about Nathan’s backstory and his rebellious hi-jinks with his brother Sam, before focusing on his quest to find the lost city of Libertalia and Henry Avery’s long lost pirate treasure. However this all feels very similar to fans of the franchise as there isn’t anything new added to the story to make it stand out - with the exception of added companion mechanics which I shall cover in more detail later.

Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End (2016) does stand out in certain aspects though, for example, your companion characters will now actively aid you in fights, crouch in long grass and help neutralise enemies if your adopting a more stealthy playstyle. Even the conversations option which determine what you say to certain character seems new, but this doesn’t really change anything to do with the main narrative and can be considered a cosmetic change at best.

Uncharted 4 (2016) does also feature multiplayer game modes such as the tradition team deathmatch, command which places a target on the back of the strongest player, as well as plunder in which teams are required to carry an idol to the central point on the map in order to score points. You also have the ability to purchase sidekicks in multiplayer which can help swing the odds in your favour, and features a total of eight maps for players to choose from.

On top of this you also have the online and offline survival mode to keep players interested which features ten progressively more difficult waves across ten maps.
