Review for Uncharted : The Nathan Drake Collection (2015) which is a remastered collection of the first three Uncharted games, which are
Uncharted Drakes Fortune (2007)
Uncharted 2 Amongst Thieves (2009)
Uncharted 3 Drake’s Deception (2011)

All these games are provided on one disc and have been remastered to run at 60fps, with updated graphics and textures and a brand new trophy system just for the PS4. It is also worth noting that these games only come with the single player story and do not provide any of the multiplayers aspects as previously seen on the PS3.

Overall the Uncharted series are an action, adventure, third person shooter with platforming elements that was created and developed by Naughty Dog. You as the players, control Nathan Drake a charismatic yet obsessive treasure hunter who travels across the globe to uncover various mysteries.

In Uncharted Drakes Fortune (2007) Nathan seeks the lost treasure of El Dorado in South America aided by his companion Victor Sullivan and journalist Elaine Fisher.

In Uncharted 2 Amongst Thieves (2009) Drake travels across Nepal and the Himalayas in search for the lost city of Shambala whilst reuniting with most of the crew from the first game.

Uncharted Drakes Deception (2011) focusses more on Nathan’s relationship with mentor Victor Sullivan, whilst he searches for the ‘Atlantis of the Sands’ in the Arabian Peninsula.

Out of all three of the games provided I think I preferred Uncharted 2 Amongst Thieves the best, as I felt this was the most believable and engaging storyline. Whilst the controls for Uncharted can be a bit finicky at times, and the environments can often lead you to question why you can’t fall onto a lower ledge or grapple something obvious, I did enjoy my time time playing all three Uncharted games. Whilst I don’t think they will be a hot contender for Lara Croft (Tomb Raider for those who didn’t get that reference) it’s certainly nice to see a remastered game that provides a nice single player story to sink your teeth into.
