In this short 4-part video series, I briefly go over four of my favourite CG works that Namco created during this time frame. This week's video will be on R4: Ridge Racer Type 4.

Before using a virtual idol to spearhead the series, Ridge Racer didn't have a face. That was, until this game! Before Hatsune Miku and the like, there was race queen Reiko Nagase; created by 3D animator and director Kei Yoshimizu. Namco took virtual idolatry to... interesting heights at the time. She even had a very cheesecake spread in the Japanese magazine Famitsu back then.

Thanks for watching!
