8Here it is. The Doom Howitzer is complete, and Mack, knowing how much of a superweapon it is, had gathered the Seven Legendary Orbs of Destiny and has become Hyper Mack. Now Mack can not only fly, but travel out into space and, once he's grown accustomed enough to the form, function like a Touhou boss.
You'll see Princesses Mayapple, Apoidea, Ariella, and Farrah Day and Prince Malachite encased in crystals attached to the machine as its energy source, though parts of the Doom Howitzer can eventually detach and function on its own without the five of them.
This battle has three phases. In the first phase, Mack is flying around all over the screen while Crow is stationary in that cockpit, able to fire that laser downward and only downward. If that sounds overly limiting, remember that this game has reverse boss battles, where you're the one in the villain machine and you have to fight the little heroes. Losing at this phase simply moves the battle to the next one, just as any good final boss in any video game is like. And same thing with losing in the second phase, though I did deplete Mack's HP during then.
No, it's the third phase where the actual battle is! You'll see Mack shoot an absolutely insane number of projectiles onscreen at once, which turns this battle into a schmup, though you are a bigger target than the enemy you're trying to defeat. Yeah, I wasn't sure what to do at first, but as it seems, Mack pulls a Cirno and has a few places where he can't hit the Doom Howitzer. So much for that ultimate unbeatable form, especially since the Doom Howitzer seems to be the only thing Crow has that's able to damage Hyper Mack. Good thing, also, that losing in this phase brings you back to the final phase.
