Civilization 7 dropped an unscheduled patch update today, patch 1.2.1 - this Civ 7 update adds new features like a Pangea plus map and expanded player counts for multiplayer matches. Then I'll focus on the military and combat updates, where civ 7's war weariness (war support) mechanic has been removed from settlement razing for an influence penalty, among other changes to commanders and naval units.

This update also focuses on a major rebalance of numerous civs and leaders. Almost all of them were buffs. We'll briefly discuss Firaxis' reasoning behind each of the highlighted changes. I generally like these changes, though in the case of Inca I'd rather see civs lean into what makes them unique, instead of becoming more generic for usability.
