Soldiers have been trialling new technology in Wales designed to improve their living conditions on the frontline in Afghanistan. Throughout the day the troops trialled everything from concrete cloth and the latest toilets to new camouflage nets. The MOD are funding the new technology designed to make living on the frontline more environmentally friendly. Powering forward operating bases with diesel is expensive and dangerous so this isn't just a chance for the MOD to go green but also a chance for them to save money and make it safer. The new technologies are all still at the testing stage but the hope is that one day, they'll be making life on the frontline safer and easier.
